Invitation for Bids by the Procurement Committee for leasing the upstairs rest rooms in the Galle Railway Station in the Railway Department.
The chairman, the Department Procurement Committee on behalf of the Sri Lanka Railway Department invites sealed bids from Bidders to lease the part of the building cited below in the Galle Railway Station for a period of two years for a business purpose.

The details on the parts of the building cited above are indicated in the schedule 01 under the procurement documents.
01.Eligibility
It will be functioned to lease the parts of the building concerned to the applicant who submits the highest offers subjected to the Departmental conditions.
02.Obtaining Bidding Applications
Bidding applications can be obtained from the Railway Sales & Marketing Division or Galle Railway Station on 17th of April 2023 until 2.00p.m. The receipt, obtained upon payment of a non- refundable fee of Rs. 2500/= to the Chief Financial Officer in Sri Lanka Railways ,Colombo 10 should be produced to the Deputy Superintendent (Sales & Marketing) or to the Railway Station concerned. It should be made payments for a refundable bid bond except the bidding application fee as indicated in that document.
03.Submission of bid applications
The duly, perfect application ,obtained as indicated under the above 02 should be submitted marked as “original” & ”duplicate” relevantly in two sealed envelopes & enclosed both in one sealed envelope written as “ Invitation for Bids for Galle Railway Station Rest Rooms” on the top left hand corner of the cover should be either sent by registered post to reach the address Chairman, Departmental Procurement Committee, Sales & Marketing Division, Railway Headquarters, Colombo 10 or deposited in the Special Tender Box, available at the official room of the Manager (Sales & Marketing) in the Railway Headquarters before 2.00 p.m. on 18th of April 2023 Applications, received after the due time will be rejected. Late or lost applications in post will not be considered.
04.Receipt of Bids & Opening
Bids will be opened at the Sales & Marketing Division on 18th of April 2023 as cited in the above paragraph 03 & the bidder or his authorized representative can present for this occasion.
05.The Department Procurement Committee retains the right to the final decision
